Glase is authorised and regulated by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority.

Seqr Payments AB is operated under supervision of the Swedish FSA ('Finansinspektionen') as a licensed payment and E-money institution, such as recorded in article 4 of the Payment Service Directive (PSD) 2007/64 EG. Seqr Payments AB offers Glase as a mobile wallet under these licenses. Based on its Swedish licenses, Glase is also licensed to operate anywhere with in the European Economic Area.

The Glase entity that has the Swedish ‘Financial Supervisory Authority’ ( approval is Seqr Payments AB ( 045024).

Glase has been approved by the Swedish Data Inspection

On 12 June 2014, the Swedish Data Inspection published the results on four Swedish payment institutions that handle personal data, namely Glase (f.k.a. Seqr), WyWallet, Trustly and Klarna. The Data Inspection checked which personal details are collected by these parties and how they process this information. In this investigation, Glase (f.k.a. Seqr) was the only party that was approved immediately without any additional comments.

Why do I need to verify my identity in the Glase app?

We are obliged by law to know the identity of our clients, which is why it is necessary to verify your identity in the Glase app upon registration. You do so by scanning your ID into the Glase app. This procedure complies with applicable legislation and has been approved by both financial and data protection supervisory authorities.

My mobile telephone has been stolen or lost; what should I do?

Just like a bank card, you can have your Glase account blocked. In order to do so, please contact our Customer Service team who will be happy to help you.

Is Glase a secure service?

The app itself has been secured by means of encryption. This means that all your payments need to be confirmed with a personal Glase PIN. Furthermore, this app and the account with which you have been registered on your smartphone cannot be cloned for use on any other smartphone.

Why does Glase need access to my camera?

Your camera is used for scanning a QR code for a payment. During the registration process the we'll also need access to your camera in order to make a photo of the front and back of your ID card, passport or driver’s license to complete a KYC check.

Why does Glase need access to my contacts?

With your Glase app, you're able to send money to friends using their phone number rather than their bank details. Therefore to use this feature we will request permission to access to your contacts.

How is my personal information processed?

All collection and processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with our Terms and Conditions which can be found here. The personal data you provide when registering for Glase is collected in order to provide and administer the service, to inform you of services and offers and for Glase to comply with statutory obligations.
